Are you a meticulous financial professional with a passion for driving strategic business decisions and optimizing financial performance? Aquent is seeking a dynamic individual to step into a pivotal role, where you will be instrumental in shaping the financial landscape for a critical health solution. You will directly influence key business strategies, ensure fiscal responsibility, and provide actionable insights that empower leadership to make informed decisions, ultimately contributing to the success and reach of vital therapeutic advancements.

**What you'll do:**

* Partner with leadership teams to manage all aspects of the budget for a key therapeutic area.

* Lead the development of ongoing reports to support senior leadership in their quarterly business planning.

* Oversee and develop ongoing reports to track annual media savings, identifying opportunities for efficiency.

* Manage the comprehensive expense forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.

* Perform in-depth financial analysis to inform and guide leadership business decisions.

* Collaborate with business owners to develop and prepare quarterly forecasts and plans for various business teams.

* Develop and prepare insightful expense analysis reports with actionable recommendations for all levels of management, including senior leadership.

* Provide consultative options and recommendations to optimize budget management and resource allocation.

* Analyze and identify the key drivers of forecast versus actual expense variances, offering clear explanations.

* Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities to ensure expense targets are met or exceeded.

* Make strategic recommendations to assist business leaders in closing financial gaps and achieving objectives.

* Continuously improve forecasting tools and metrics to enhance expense transparency and accuracy.

* Engage with Finance partners to foster cross-organizational collaboration and alignment.

* Leverage approved platforms and other tools to enhance reporting capabilities and projection models.

* Support the comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.

* Translate complex financial metrics into clear, actionable plans that support critical business decisions.

* Support month-end and quarterly-end processes in collaboration with accounting teams.

* Assist in the preparation of monthly financial management information, providing insightful commentary on variances.

* Act as a dedicated business partner with the finance team to support robust financial controls and efficient monthly close/reporting processes.

* Serve as a financial business partner across the organization for various ad-hoc projects and initiatives.

* Perform monthly true-ups by reconciling actuals to plan and meticulously documenting variance drivers.

* Request, create, and update purchase orders as needed, monitoring their status and ensuring timely close-out.

* Create and manage Non-Work Authorizations (NWAs) within the procurement/ERP system.

* Align budgets to purchase orders, processing necessary budget increases, reductions, and reallocations to accurately reflect committed spend.

* Prepare and submit budget transfer requests, tracking approvals through internal workflows.

* Run detailed variance reports (actual vs. plan) and provide concise, impactful analysis of material variances.

* Maintain and communicate key finance deadlines (e.g., forecast snapshot dates, year-end activities, month-end close) and send timely reminders to stakeholders.

**What you'll bring:**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.

* 4+ years of business financial planning and financial analysis experience.

* Strong understanding of expense accounting and management reporting needs.

* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, developing and delivering communications that convey a clear understanding of unique needs to different audiences.

* Proven ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders at various levels.

* Strong collaboration skills, building partnerships and working effectively with others to meet shared objectives.

* Exceptional financial acumen, interpreting and applying an understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.

**Nice-to-haves:**

* MBA preferred.

* Knowledge of the healthcare industry is highly desirable.

The target hiring compensation for this role is $100-110K. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.

Additional benefits offered may include: medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match (if applicable).
