ASU Product Supply Manager The ASU Product Supply Manager, based in our Irving, Texas headquarters, is responsible for coordinating the production cycle. The role serves as the critical bridge between sales demand and production for our fleet of Air Separation Units by scheduling production, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with key stakeholders in a 24/7 supply chain environment. This role requires exceptional organizational skills to manage complex workflows, meticulous time management to meet strict deadlines, and strong communication skills to coordinate with manufacturing, distribution, product management, procurement, quality, and sales. Essential Functions Production Planning & Scheduling: Leverage data modeling and Business Intelligence (BI) to balance "plant loading" with market demand and cost constraints. Develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, power pricing, production efficiency, and plant constraints, adjusting schedules to accommodate maintenance, shutdowns, or unexpected disruptions. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to balance availability for shipping and cost efficiency of under and over production. Material Management: Monitor raw material levels to ensure availability for production, identify shortages, and coordinate with procurement to avoid bottlenecks. Performance Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on production efficiency, inventory metrics, plan adherence, OEE, and landed cost to serve KPIs for management. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in supply chain processes (often using Lean techniques) to reduce costs and increase productivity. Communication: Lead supply chain coordination meetings and act as a key liaison between manufacturing teams, customer service, distribution, sales, production management, and procurement stakeholders to ensure alignment of deadlines. Participate in and lead small improvement projects (SIP) and The Right Way (TRW) projects. Required for All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering is Preferred Work Experience 5+ years Associates or bachelor's degree, in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Process Technology is Preferred 5+ years Air Separation Operations or equivalent industrial manufacturing Experience is Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Superior ability to organize production projects, manage documentation, and keep track of critical workflows. Strong technical and analytical proficiency with demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent verbal and written skills to coordinate with various stakeholders. Well organized and good follow-up skills. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of ASU plant operations and impacts of key production efficiency variables such as specific power, power supply constraints, product balancing, utilization, etc. Experience managing "variable cost" environments, particularly power-intensive manufacturing processes. Exceptional ability to translate complex data visualizations into actionable instructions. Proven proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik) for data visualization and reporting. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and advanced MS Excel skills for complex "what-if" cost modeling. Knowledge of power supply networks with ability to make rapid decision for power pricing opportunities. Position ideally has knowledge of process design, computer modeling, and reading of PFDs, P&ID, and charts/graphs from design data, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS Working Condition: This role will be performed primarily in an office environment, requiring extensive daily usage of a computer, and other office equipment. Working Condition: This role supports 24/7 operations and requires occasional night and/or weekend remote support. Working Condition: Field Coverage will potentially occur wherever Matheson has a facility, and during any season. Physical Demands: Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Physical Demands: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Condition: This role will be performed in office environments as well as in industrial field environments. While performing duties of this job it would occasionally be required to: Be exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (e.g. operating plant). Be exposed to outside weather conditions (e.g. cold box valves, filling trailers). Be exposed to high, precarious places (e.g. cold box, repair work) Be exposed to high noise levels (e.g. Plant rounds, maintenance) Working Condition: May also be required to work from a home location, which must be conducive to performing the role and duties, including virtual/video meetings. Working Condition: Must sign NDA, have a clean driving record and pass background check and drug test.
