More information is available at www.alliant.com. SUMMARY Responsible for monitoring direct bills and agency bills, addressing cancellations and providing quality control on billing and invoices. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitors direct bill reversals and unapplied bills and requests corrections on incorrectly applied bills. * Reviews direct bill reports for accuracy. * Addresses any issues regarding agency bill errors or questions from staff. * Monitors daily transactions and requests corrections where needed. * Escalates trends and issues to Operation leaders and managers. * Reviews requests for reducing financing rates and monitors changes between finance carriers. * Ensures that funding is received on time and that cancellations are addressed. * Monitors cancellations, reminds clients to pay installments, and follows up for reinstatement if coverage is lost. * Handles general accounting issues as they arise. * Performs quality control of front office transactions. * Handles the invoicing and collection process by interacting with staff to ensure accurate data entry, timely collections from clients, and timely payments to the market. * Analyzes finance agreements and policy periods and if needed, ensures that funding is sent to the carrier and that it hits the right account. * Individually conducts special research or investigation projects as assigned. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Three (3) or more years of staff level accounting experience SKILLS Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, with emphasis in intercompany accounting Proficient in Microsoft Office products Excellent verbal and written communication skills Transaction and account balance analysis skills Ability to create spreadsheets, file and operate general office equipment Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
