ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Endpoint Engineering Manager is a strategic leader who translates enterprise technology and Digital Employee Experience strategy into functional plans for Endpoint Engineering. The incumbent guides execution and delivery to ensure consistency, reliability, and performance of end user computing solutions at scale. They lead teams in applying Agile practices to establish operational rigor, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver endpoint solutions that are secure, scalable, and designed to enable productivity and positive digital experiences. The role collaborates closely with enterprise stakeholders while fostering team development and sustaining a cohesive, high performing organization.

This role sits within the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) organization in the Enterprise Technology Group, which is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise End User Computing (EUC) strategy. The Endpoint Engineering team supports a global fleet of approximately 70,000 devices, delivering modern endpoint platforms, standards, and services that enable secure and consistent experiences for employees worldwide..

WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:

Leadership & Supervision

  • Tactical decision-maker, Handles unforeseen issues.

  • Manages activities of two or more disciplines or a department. Oversees experienced level professionals and/or may be responsible for subordinate managers.

  • Frequently advises team(s) on moderately complex matters.

  • Responsible for supporting the talent strategy through hiring, onboarding, learning & development, performance, succession planning, engagement, recognition, and inclusion, diversity, and equity practices.

  • Responsible for fostering a work environment that encourages employees to act with integrity and respect.

  • Responsible for setting employee objectives and expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing meaningful feedback, and mentorship.

  • Responsible for supporting employee career development.

  • Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.

Knowledge & Application

  • Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates.

  • Develops, modifies and executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.

  • Accountable for department budget which may be broad and have far reaching impact on the business segment.

  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Problems are not clearly defined and lack strategic direction.

  • Implements policies and selects methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Drives the strategy and success of larger projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization.

Collaboration & Interaction

  • Interacts regularly with lower and/or senior management on matters concerning several functional areas, department, and/or customers.

  • Applies knowledge to convince other stakeholders on desired departmental outcomes.

This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.

  • Education

  • Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the information technology (IT) field. In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of experience in IT.

Skills and Experience

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in IT

  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports

Preferred

  • Experience in endpoint engineering

  • Experience in end user systems administration and troubleshooting, including endpoint hardware, Windows and macOS, and browsers.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.

  • Understanding of endpoint security and network technologies in an enterprise environment..
