This position will support Air Force cryptographic modernization efforts by helping identify capability gaps, assess vulnerabilities in COMSEC and cryptographic systems, and develop recommendations, requirements, and strategic plans for modernized solutions across air, ground, space, cyber, and weapons platforms. The position also supports roadmap development, architecture and requirements documentation, compliance tracking, fielding strategies, and leadership briefings related to enterprise cryptographic modernization.

This position is working with the Defense Industrial Base reaching out to address modernization requirements. This role analyzes extensive data listings to trace and locate users, notify users of modernization requirements and document modernization plans and report results through various agencies throughout the DoD. This is a continuous repeating effort as new mandates for modernization are released.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Participate in meetings, progress reviews, integrated teams, working groups, etc.
  • Draft, edit, and review a variety of correspondence and documentation, primarily using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Provide information management, records management, scheduling functions, and meeting/conference support.
  • Prepare briefing/training materials and present briefings/trainings.
  • Liaise and coordinate with personnel at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Provide awareness of new/evolving requirements and recommendations for integration.
  • Provide support for planning, programming, tracking, and financial execution.
  • Prepare information papers, point papers, background papers, and staff studies.

Task-Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Envision and Power BI dashboards, KPIs, charts, and visual reporting products supporting cryptographic modernization, outreach, certification, and Government decision-making.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze large datasets related to DAF cryptographic devices, modernization plans, Cybersecurity Solutions Service Requests, certification activities, Defense Industrial Base organizations, and affected users.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, schedule risks, and areas requiring Government attention, and communicate findings through analytical reports, briefings, Bullet Background Papers, and Point Papers.
  • Support maintenance of the DAF Crypto Service Catalog and track HAD capabilities, HW/SW versions, modernization options, certification status, availability, and points of contact.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel, NSA, PMOs, vendors, and other stakeholders to validate data and maintain accurate program status reporting.

  • Active TS clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility.
  • Minimum of 2 years of advanced staff experience planning, organizing, and negotiating effectively with cross-functional teams using TMT or other staff coordination standards, document reviews, program updates, and background papers to drive adoption of critical recommendations.
