Job Summary

Granicus is looking for a "roll up your sleeves" Director of Embedded Process Consulting, AI Transformation to lead internal AI-driven transformation across the company from a business process and operating model perspective. This leader will partner closely with the engineering leader responsible for the internal AI platform to ensure that AI capabilities are translated into real, durable changes in how work gets done across functions.

The successful candidate will operate as an internal consultant and transformation leader-embedding within functions, diagnosing inefficiencies, redesigning processes, and directly driving implementation. This is a hands-on operator who owns outcomes and leads a team of internal consultants to deliver measurable revenue growth, productivity gains, and improved operating leverage through AI-enabled workflows.

This role reports to the Head of Corporate Strategy & Transformation and will work directly with executive leadership to shape and execute Granicus' internal AI transformation agenda.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

Lead end-to-end AI-enabled business transformation initiatives across functions, from problem identification through implementation and value realization
  • Embed within functions (e.g., Sales, CS, Support, Operations) to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities for AI-driven improvement
  • Identify, size, and prioritize high-impact AI use cases focused on eliminating manual work, improving cycle times, increasing productivity, and driving growth
  • Redesign core business processes to incorporate AI-powered workflows, copilots, and agents in partnership with the engineering/platform team
  • Act as a "translator" between business and technical teams-ensuring use cases are well-defined, feasible, and tied to measurable outcomes
  • Lead hands-on implementation of process changes, including piloting solutions, refining workflows, and driving adoption within teams
  • Own value creation: define KPIs, track impact (e.g., time saved, cost reduction, revenue growth), and ensure initiatives deliver tangible business results
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of internal consultants to execute across multiple concurrent transformation workstreams
  • Develop repeatable methodologies, playbooks, and frameworks for AI-enabled process transformation across the enterprise
  • Drive alignment and influence across senior stakeholders, navigating a highly matrixed organization to remove blockers and accelerate execution
  • Partner with Legal, Security, IT, and Engineering to ensure redesigned processes meet governance and risk requirements
  • Support executive communication, including synthesizing insights, framing decisions, and reporting progress to leadership and the board as needed

You Will Love This Job If You Have

  • 8-12+ years of relevant experience, with background in top-tier management consulting
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end transformation initiatives-from problem structuring through implementation and measurable results
  • Demonstrated ability to redesign business processes and drive real adoption, not just recommend solutions
  • Experience working on AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives, with the ability to translate technology capabilities into business outcomes
  • Strong business judgment and structured problem-solving skills; able to break down ambiguous problems and drive to actionable solutions
  • Experience working cross-functionally with both business leaders and technical teams; able to engage credibly with engineering counterparts
  • Track record of personally owning workstreams and delivering results
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a consulting or transformation environment
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in complex environments
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-paced environments, with a bias toward action and implementation
  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments preferred
