JOB SUMMARY:



The Wire Processor has the primary responsibility to assist the Wire Team Leader and serve as a backup, coordinate, and perform the daily wire processing functions including all incoming, outgoing and settlement wires. This position will be responsible for all wires sent or received via Fedline. This position supports Treasury Management services, as necessary. This position will provide guidance to peers, excellent customer service, process improvement initiatives, and manage workflow to meet daily deadlines adhering to policy and procedures minimizing risk to the Bank.



JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Responsible to perform the Start of Day/End of Day process for Fedline and/or Payplus, as necessary and continue to monitor the system throughout the day to ensure that all host line interfaces, connections to the Federal Reserve, Online Banking and MISER are in place. Provide support and function as liaison between Wire Team and IT/Vendors when system issues arise.
  • Responsible for monitoring the queues in the wire PayPlus system to ensure all wires are processed in a timely manner. Perform outgoing wire transfer callbacks on recorded phone line per audit requirements. Provide daily support for updating and maintaining various spreadsheets and reports.
  • Responsible for coordinating and assisting with creating and/or verifying of international wire transfers through Convera. Enter wires in PayPlus system for posting, OFAC check and PARC history retention. Perform callbacks to customers on recorded phone line. Monitor Dodd-Frank Foreign wires and meet all regulation time constraints.
  • Provide daily support for all incoming and outgoing wires as well as end of day wire settlements while maintaining the required target balance at the Federal Reserve.
  • Assist in testing and documenting new procedures and processes for Wire functions, including updating of procedures as needed.
  • Complete all General Ledger reconciliations and assist the Wire Room Team Leader with self-audits.
  • Provide daily support for all Treasury Management products and services received as well as provide second level customer support.
  • Assist the Wire Room Team Leader in testing and implementation of PayPlus and Miser core system upgrades keeping abreast of features and enhancements to achieve best return on investment and efficiencies.
  • Perform checks of the closed account report, daily missing code report, weekly closed account report and weekly analysis account type change report to Payplus account profiles to reduce audit mismatches.



OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to establish business relationships.


  • Assists Commercial Services Manager on projects, general commercial service processing and other duties as assigned.
  • Possesses knowledge of corporate products and services. Be aware of situations where fee revenue could be enhanced.



PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:



  • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use a computer terminal. The employee may be subject to repetitive motion while operating the computer and/or phone. The employee is expected to prepare and analyze data and be able to communicate and exchange information. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Some mobility to retrieve files and operate office equipment is necessary.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five years banking experience focused on bank operations and wire processing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clear and professional communication
  • Strong accounting, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Above average attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates friendly, positive attitude, self-motivator.
  • Ability to follow procedures and multi-task with a degree of versatility and flexibility.
  • Knowledge of the following systems and/or products is a plus: Miser, PayPlus, Firstrust Online Banking, Federal Reserve, Convera.



WORK SCHEDULE:



  • This is a Mission Critical position and could require working on days when the Bank is closed, opens late or closes early due to inclement weather.
  • Currently a hybrid work schedule, three days in office, two days remote.
  • Work hours: Opening hours 8 AM - 5:00 PM or 9 AM - 5:30 PM or later due to system constraints.
