Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy government transportation location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to riders, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit hubs, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted locations, report maintenance or security-related issues, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Support crowd management and assist with directions, general questions, and de-escalation during busy service periods, delays, and/or special events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
