Hill International is seeking a Project Manager - Transportation in Utah
- Maintain excellent relationships with client, architects/engineers, and contractors.
- Provides business, technical, and personnel management across a major single project or multiple projects involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities.
- Provide advanced technical know-how and expertise on projects of high complexity.
- Coordinate technical development and/or assist in providing technical direction to the scope of projects.
- Provide technical expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering, and preparation of contracts for construction.
- Provide supervision to ensure that the technical, administrative, labor, and schedule targets are met in accordance with applicable professional standards, technical control procedures, and company procedures.
- Coordinate and develop technical proposals with Business Development staff.
- Prepare and develop materials for meetings, interviews, and presentations.
- Planning, directing and coordinating the construction engineering and inspection of a highway and bridge construction project.
- Serving as the clients representative on program management contracts.
- Overseeing the performance of work done by staff and subconsultants.
- Responsible for meeting the financial and scheduling objectives of contracts with clients.
- 10+ years' experience with Project Management functions for highway projects during the design and construction phases.
- Bachelor's degree with preference for Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Utah Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership and ability to collaborate with client leadership to prioritize goals and objectives and communicate progress including monthly reporting, cost and schedule updates, and staffing updates.
- Ability to manage technical staff and harness technical knowledge and expertise to drive solutions and provide direction in the execution of multiple projects from pre-construction through construction.
- Ability to provide client leadership with timely and accurate project updates and technical solutions to resolve discrepancies and reduce risk to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
- Ability to perform work commensurate with industry standards and clients-specific requirements to ensure compliance.
- Experience developing, reviewing, and analyzing critical path method schedules (CPM) and shall be trained in the use of Project Scheduling software.
- Experience preparing project progress reports, cost estimates, reviewing design submissions, and performing construction inspections.
- Experience communicating with the with the owner and general contractor throughout construction to ensure project safety, quality work product, and on-time, on-schedule delivery.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills including using clear and concise language.
- Experience with full range of construction management services including project management, contract management, constructability reviews, document control, change management, scheduling, budget analysis and financial management, estimating, risk management, quality assurance and reporting.
- UDOT experience or UTA.
- Design-Build experience.
- Experience on large complex highway and bridge construction projects in excess of $100M CEI experience.
