Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position under the supervision of Professor Debarati Das. The successful candidate will contribute to research on the design and analysis of efficient approximation algorithms for computationally hard clustering problems, including algorithmic fairness in clustering. The postdoctoral scholar will co-lead research initiatives with Professor Das and play an active role in mentoring graduate students. Responsibilities include conducting independent and collaborative research, guiding graduate researchers, disseminating results through conference presentations and journal publications, and assisting with the preparation of reports for sponsored research projects. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field by the start date. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theoretical computer science, algorithms, approximation algorithms, or related areas of discrete mathematics.
