Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Perimeter Patrol Driver in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support staff and visitors with clear communication, and respond to calls for assistance. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, offering variety each shift as you move throughout the property while bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-area disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or requests for assistance, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify authorization as directed, and assist with wayfinding and de-escalation while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document observations and incidents, and report maintenance hazards and/or unusual conditions to site leadership per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for hospital sites.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
