Requisition ID# 171175 Job Category: Compliance / Risk / Quality Assurance Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Energy Delivery Work Type: Onsite Job Location: Sacramento Department Overview The Safety and Infrastructure Protection Team (SIPT) serves under the Wildfire Operations (WO) - Wildfire, Emergency and Operations (WEO) organization and performs wildfire mitigation, wildfire prevention, asset protection, and emergency fire response to support PG&E's stand that catastrophic wildfires shall stop. The purpose of the SIPT organization is to safeguard PG&E coworkers and our communities by protecting our infrastructure through ignition containment, hazard mitigation, and emergency response. To accomplish this, the team performs a wide range of emergency responses, wildfire mitigation, and routine work activities. Position Summary Operations Support Specialists work in a round-the-clock/365-day operation. They receive information and requests for assistance from various sources, including SIPT field units, HAWC, PSS Team, Fresno Dispatch, and by monitoring agency radio communications. They work in conjunction with field supervisors to evaluate the need for response to various types of incidents including Fires, 911 standby, EPSS outages, emergency switching and emergency work. They assign and track resources utilizing a resource management platform throughout the service territory. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
