A globally recognized automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Launch Engineer to support supplier development, manufacturing readiness, and production launch performance across key commodities.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and supplier partners to ensure production readiness, maintain high quality standards, and resolve manufacturing challenges that could impact vehicle delivery. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in supplier quality engineering, PPAP, APQP, and automotive manufacturing processes who thrive in fast-paced launch environments and enjoy solving complex operational challenges.

Hours and Pay



  • Pay Rate: $46.06 per hour
  • Schedule: Full-time

Daily Responsibilities



  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed launch, quality, capacity, warranty, and vehicle delivery metrics
  • Lead cross-functional decision-making with internal leadership and supplier teams to resolve open manufacturing and quality issues
  • Execute corrective actions and troubleshooting for supplier-related production challenges
  • Serve as the primary contact for on-site supplier issue resolution and emergency manufacturing situations
  • Drive actions to prevent supplier disruptions and ensure zero vehicle losses from supplier performance issues
  • Ensure supplier adherence to established quality standards and manufacturing requirements
  • Lead and support the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities
  • Conduct supplier site assessments to validate manufacturing feasibility and production readiness
  • Utilize performance metrics and operational data to guide supplier improvement initiatives
  • Support future sourcing decisions by analyzing supplier performance, quality trends, and production metrics



Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with quality management, supplier development, and manufacturing problem-solving
  • Working knowledge of PPAP processes and APQP methodologies
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities in manufacturing environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and supplier partners
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to support supplier performance improvement initiatives
