Medical Assistant - Neurosurgery Washington, DC Pay From: $23 per hour MUST: The Medical Assistant must have experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required 2 plus years of healthcare experience is required One year of medical terminology experience is required Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard is required Experience in clinical pharmacology is required BLS certification is required DUTIES: The Medical Assistant ensures the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care Performs phlebotomy Prepares specimens for transport to labs Performs simple laboratory procedures Takes vital signs and prepares patients for procedures Assists with the patient flow Provides general clinical support to physicians and other staff Answers phones and makes appointments Collects co-pays and payment Additional duties as needed Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
