Position Overview

The Supply Chain Management Engine & Asset Manager supports the sourcing, vendor evaluation, contract management, and supplier oversight for aircraft engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and other high-value aviation assets across multiple airline brands. Working closely with a senior supply chain leader, this individual contributor role is well-suited for a mid-level supply chain or procurement professional looking to grow within a dynamic aviation environment. The hiring manager is invested in onboarding the right person and providing hands-on guidance - engine-specific knowledge is not required.

Key Duties

*Support the evaluation and comparison of vendor quotes across price, turn-around time, quality, and parts specifications for engine and LRU repairs and purchases.

*Assist with cost modeling to compare vendor proposals on an apples-to-apples basis, supplementing incomplete bids with estimated costs as needed.

*Compile and organize large data sets in Excel to support analysis, reporting, and executive-level summaries.

*Work with existing RFP templates - coordinate with engineering to validate work scopes, distribute to vendors, collect responses, and compile findings.

*Monitor vendor contract compliance, flagging deviations from agreed turn-around times, quality standards, or contract terms.

*Build and maintain supplier relationships, participating in regular performance reviews.

*Prepare clear, concise PowerPoint presentations summarizing analysis and recommendations for leadership review.

*Partner cross-functionally with engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams on matters related to engine and asset procurement.

*Support the identification of cost savings opportunities across the engine and APU maintenance and lease market.

Required Qualifications

*3-5 years of supply chain, procurement, or contracts management experience.

*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including IF statements, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, and pivot tables - candidates should be prepared to discuss their honest comfort level with data tools.

*Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-ready summaries.

*Experience with competitive bidding processes including RFI, RFP, or RFQ management.

*Solid understanding of vendor performance management and contract compliance monitoring.

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.

*Self-starter with strong project ownership mentality and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

*Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.

*Must be local to or willing to commute to SeaTac, WA - this role is fully onsite 5 days per week.

*Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience in aviation, aerospace, or transportation industries - though not required; supply chain experience in any industry will be considered.

*Familiarity with aircraft maintenance contracts, MRO operations, or asset management.

*Experience with cost modeling or total cost of ownership analysis.

*Background in contract review, redlining, or vendor negotiation.

*Proficiency with SAP, Ariba, or similar ERP/procurement platforms.

*Mechanical, engineering, or technical background that supports understanding of physical asset maintenance cycles.
