| Position Summary |
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Faculty Affairs Program Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing programs and projects within the Office of Faculty Affairs. This position coordinates project activities, coordinates events and workshops, maintains detailed project documentation, and ensures effective communication among team members and stakeholders. The Program Coordinator assists in scheduling meetings, preparing reports, preparing and distributing project communication, and tracking project progress to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Additionally, this position will manage administrative tasks such as maintaining project files. This position will engage key contributors from the Center for Faculty Excellence, Office of the Provost, other University units/departments and external stakeholders. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting new and recurring processes, programs and initiatives. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
| Management Preferences |
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Planner, Asana, Monday.com).
*Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
*Experience working with senior executives or academic leaders.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Familiarity with recognition programs, awards and teaching programs in higher education. |
