IPSU Sales Training Specialist - Power & Industrial Services - 6150 IPS is seeking a remote Sales Training Specialist who supports the productivity and effectiveness of the IPS sales organization by providing training, tools, and resources that enable sales teams to successfully position IPS solutions. This role ensures sales representatives have the technical understanding and sales messaging needed to communicate the value of IPS services across electric motors, generators, rotating equipment, and power management systems. Working closely with engineering, operations, field service teams, and marketing, the Sales Enablement Specialist translates complex technical capabilities into practical sales knowledge. The role plays a critical part in helping sales teams address customer challenges related to reliability, power distribution, equipment performance, and industrial asset management. This role does require travel. Responsibilities & Expectations: Sales Training and Onboarding * Develop and deliver onboarding programs for sales representatives, helping them understand IPS services, customers, and how to effectively position solutions * Facilitate ongoing training through workshops, webinars, and in-person sessions across regional sales teams * Adapt training content based on team needs, experience levels, and feedback from the field. Technical Sales Enablement * Translate technical capabilities into clear value propositions and solution-based sales messaging. * Develop practical sales tools, including playbooks, talking points, and case studies, that enable teams to effectively sell and deliver on IPS's pursuit of world-class service * Simplify complex concepts related to motors, generators, and power systems into easy-to-understand messaging * Ensure sales teams have access to a single, centralized source for up-to-date information on IPS services and solutions Cross-Functional Collaboration * Partner with engineering, operations, and field service teams to understand how work is performed and translate best practices into actionable sales knowledge * Collaborate with marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and materials with IPS capabilities * Support rollout of new services, ensuring the sales team is prepared and confident to sell them Sales Process and Performance Improvement * Support the development and standardization of sales best practices across regions * Assist with adoption and effective use of CRM tools and pipeline management processes * Evaluate training effectiveness through sales feedback and performance data, to refine programs and improve overall sales performance Qualifications and Competencies: * Bachelor's or associate's degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, Education, Marketing, or related field preferred. * Degree equivalency: 4 years + job-related work experience or an Associate's and 2 years job-related work experience * 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Sales or account management (preferably in industrial, technical, or service environments) Sales training, enablement, or coaching Technical or field-based roles involving industrial equipment, power systems, or maintenance services * Experience in industries such as industrial services, power generation, electrical systems, or rotating equipment is preferred but not required * Experience with training in design fundamentals and best practices Skills * Ability to communicate clearly and translate complex ideas into practical, easy-to-understand concepts * Strong presentation and facilitation skills (or willingness to develop them) * Comfortable working cross-functionally with both technical and commercial teams * Organized and able to manage multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously * Curiosity and willingness to learn new technical or sales concepts * Experience with CRM platforms and sales enablement tools.
