Position Overview

The Project Manager II position has single point of accountability or can be under general direction of a Sr. Project Director or Project Director. This position is responsible for management, or assisting management, of all phases of project planning and execution to ensure project success factors are met. These include but are not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration.

In addition, this position is highly involved in the funding management and budgeting of the project. This position may have functional reporting personnel consisting of project controls staff and/or other resources such as construction management, engineering, administrative support staff and contingent workers.

This position is located in Charlotte, NC.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • In addition to a Bachelor's degree, Five (5) years or more of relevant experience

  • In lieu of Bachelors degree, High School/GED and 9 years' of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • Proficient to demonstrate expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving

  • Renewable energy experience

  • Project related work experience, Risk Management, Project Leadership, Strong Collaboration, Oversight

  • Strong technical experience in renewable energy power plants

  • Construction management knowledge

  • Proficient to Expert in project related Scheduling, Cost Controls

  • PMP Certification, CAPM, or PE

Other

  • Ability to hire at a higher level if the right qualified candidate is presented

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in Charlotte, NC. All candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance or being willing to relocate.
