Senior Associate, Commercial Loan Servicing

Locations: New York, NY (Hybrid), Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid), Kansas City, MO (Hybrid) Union, NJ (Hybrid), Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

About the Role

SS&C is seeking a Senior Associate, Commercial Loan Servicing to support end-to-end loan servicing operations across a diverse portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily and monthly servicing activities, ensuring accuracy of loan data, cash movements, and reporting while meeting client and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with internal teams and clients to manage servicing workflows, resolve discrepancies, and support onboarding and implementation efforts.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Perform daily and monthly commercial loan servicing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and amortization schedules
  • Process and review loan cash transactions such as borrower payments, payoffs, escrow disbursements, and investor activity
  • Monitor and reconcile loan-related cash accounts, resolving discrepancies and servicing exceptions
  • Set up newly originated or purchased loans within servicing systems, ensuring accurate onboarding and data integrity
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients and internal teams, addressing inquiries related to loan balances, payments, and servicing activity
  • Support preparation and review of NAIC Schedule B regulatory reporting packages
  • Maintain loan collateral and compliance documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Generate and distribute borrower communications including billing statements, payoff statements, and servicing notices
  • Support client implementations and transitions, including data validation and system testing

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial loan servicing, loan accounting, insurance, or commercial real estate lending environments
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, including NAIC Schedule B preferred
  • Experience with loan servicing or investment general ledger accounting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
  • Strong communication skills with a client-service mindset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New Jersey: The expected base salary for the position is between $59,000 USD to $100,000 USD. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between $61,000 USD to $100,000 USD. California: The expected base salary for the position is between $65,000 USD to $100,000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
