Hexcel is currently seeking a Metallic Fillers Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Drive innovation and world class manufacturing through introduction and development of new equipment and processes.
  • Determine required equipment specifications for new capital investment projects.
  • Provide hands-on experience with machine installation, start-up, process development, and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce cost, improve quality, throughput, and safety.
  • Conduct trials to generate data supporting both production and product development efforts.
  • Work closely with production groups to provide technical assistance with processes, equipment configurations and upgrades.
  • Help generate work instructions and process control documents.
  • Work closely with Environmental, Health and Safety department to improve safety and sustainability of existing processes
  • Provide leadership and promote safety in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering required
  • 2-5 years of hands-on manufacturing equipment experience required
  • Experience with 3D modeling software a plus
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs and automated systems desired
  • Ability to diagnose and execute repairs on manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID's, electrical, and mechanical drawings
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work well with others in ateam atmosphere
  • Must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance

Complete salary range for this role: $68,439 - $116,346

This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
