What You'll Do:
Pelican is seeking an experienced, hands-on HR professional to serve as the primary people partner for site operations. This role sits at the center of the business-working closely with senior leadership, managers, and employees to drive a high-performance, compliant, and respectful work environment. With a strong presence on the production floor, you'll provide practical HR guidance, lead complex employee relations matters, support organizational change, and help shape a safety-first, accountability-driven culture. - Be the go-to HR partner on site, supporting day-to-day people needs across all functions
- Work closely with senior site leaders to deliver practical, compliant HR guidance that supports business goals
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness
- Maintain a strong, visible presence on the production floor, supporting leaders and employees across multiple shifts
- Use sound judgment to independently handle employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and workforce actions-escalating only when appropriate
- Lead complex employee relations cases, including investigations, corrective actions, and performance management
- Support organizational change initiatives, including restructures, policy updates, and production ramp-ups or slowdowns
- Partner with Operations and EHS to reinforce a strong safety-first culture, including investigations, corrective actions, and training support
- Help shape a respectful, accountable, high-performance culture through consistency, follow-through, and leadership partnership
- Analyze workforce data (turnover, absenteeism, engagement, performance) and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with Senior HR leadership, site HR, Finance, and internal partners to mitigate risk and ensure sound, defensible decisions
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business success
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum 7 years' experience in HR role(s) in comparable organizations.
- Maintains active involvement in the HR community through networking, continuing education/certification, andleadership roles in professional associations.
- Ability to develop clear, actionable steps from overall strategy and complete projects meeting deadline/budget.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, project management skills.
- Proficient with HRIS systems and software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and other appropriate software.
- Knowledge and understanding of HR systems such as Ceridian Dayforce

Compensation & Benefits: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this positionis listed below. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
