We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Junior IT Systems Administrator.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Junior IT Systems Administrator is a hands-on role responsible for providing technical support in a dynamic Mixed Windows and Linux environment. This role involves offering assistance to both internal and remote users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the optimal performance of workstations and networks. The Junior IT Systems Administrator will be proficient in managing a diverse array of systems and technologies.

* Support enterprise and Azure active directory administration (from Active Directory adds/updates to group policy management to forest level operations and domain trusts)

* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

* Windows virtual machine setup and OS installation

* Installing and upgrading software to ensure security at the user level.

* Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.

* Server management, specifying new servers, laptops and desktops per requirements provided.

* Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.

* Managing and verifying daily backup operations.

* Specifying new equipment needed for order

* Other related duties and tasks as assigned.

ABOUT YOU:

* Windows systems administration 5-10 years with at least 5 years in Active Directory administration

* Linux systems administration 3-5 years' experience

* Hardware experience (servers, storage systems, some networking)

* Virtualization experience (VMWare and/or Hyper-V)

* Networking (IPv4 and subnetting, VLANs, SMB3)

* Complex problem solving

* Must be a U.S. Citizen

* Must be able to qualify for security clearance

* Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Linux system administration experience preferred

* Certification in Microsoft (eg: MCSA: Windows Server 2016, MCSE: Server Infrastructure)

* Preferred Comp TIA Security+ or in progress (within 6 months)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:

* Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

* Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

* Ability to keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the job role.
