The Spirit of the Position:
The Advanced Networking Technician maintains the risk management program related to data security, network security and PCI Compliance requirements. Performs, assesses, and mitigates risks through operational and IT audit procedures and mitigates vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshoots and resolved issue for garage network operations WAN, LAN, Firewall, Servers.
  • Ensures tasks are aligned with department goals.
  • Audits system security by performing system monitoring/analysis of security posture; reviews security reports by running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
  • Monitoring system access controls and evaluating software security; establishing and maintains the Security Polices policies and procedure.
  • Protects data security compliance by utilizing company security policies and best practices and reports violations and support requests to the help desk and network group.
  • Provides project management for assigned security projects for remote locations PCI-DSS status, vendor oversight and RFP's.
  • Support and lead company initiatives for PCI Compliance program and requirements.
  • Provide vision for company strategic initiatives to include new technologies, best practices and cost-effective solutions related to security.
  • Performs operational security audits and security controls implementation

Education:


  • Associates Degree in a technology field
  • Preferred Degree in Computer Networking or Cyber Security
