Network Infrastructure Internship - Las Vegas

Interns are hired through a third-party vendor rather than directly by Southwest Gas.

This internship is based in Las Vegas, NV. Please note that relocation support, including housing or moving assistance, is not provided for this opportunity.

We are looking for an intern to join our network infrastructure team for an 11-week period lasting from early June to mid August. The internship requires 40 hours of work per week in a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely from home in Las Vegas).

The ideal candidate will have some experience with IT/MIS, have strong math skills, and an interest in solving puzzles. Having a strong sense of logic and a structured approach to completing tasks is a plus. Certifications such as CCNA, Security Plus, and Network Plus are ideal.

Our paid internship provides an amazing opportunity for students to gain practical experience and train with professionals with dozens of years of experience in the network infrastructure field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the team with accomplishing tasks related to the network work such as reviewing logs, migration process for a new infrastructure etc.

• Moves, Adds, and Changes to Networking systems

• Support work to keep computing systems running for the company

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in computer science or a related field including any engineering disciplines

• Must be in junior status

• Familiar with data analytics

SALARY DETAILS

$26-32/hour
