WHAT YOU WILL DO
Job Profile:
The Heavy Rental Maintenance Manager's primary responsibility is to provide administrative support for the Heavy Rental Fleet group with overseeing maintenance on all Heavy Rental equipment. This position will work closely with the Heavy Rental Manager with monitoring and approving shop work orders, rental damage, field service calls, service requests, warranty coverage, rental rollouts, and monitoring PM services.
RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work with Thompson shops to approve all work orders and assist shops with info to get units in/out of shops in a timely manner.
  • Send all work orders to shops through ServiceLink.
  • Manage and maintain fleet condition, ensure fleet is being repaired and staying in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically.
  • Monitor and inspect any rental damage for Heavy Rental machines. Ensure damage is invoiced correctly to the proper account and damage is repaired as quickly as possible.
  • Communicate all field service calls to field service and ensure all repairs are done in a timely manner to get the unit operational for the customer.
  • Monitor all PM services on Heavy Rental units that are coming due and assist PM Service with any needs so the unit is serviced on time.
  • Monitor all warranties on Heavy Rental units and ensure warranties are extended before expiration.
  • Assist Heavy Rent Manager with rental roll-outs of the fleet by inspecting equipment and ensuring any repairs are performed to make unit ready for sale.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS


  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • College degree (business, sales, construction) preferred.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience desired.
  • Able to use standard office equipment: computers, calculators, printers, copiers and fax.
  • Has knowledge and experience with Thompson DBS Inventory system.
  • Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications and web-browsers, and must be able to develop functional ability in the use of proprietary software, including iRental and Rouse Analytics.
  • Able to communicate effectively with salesmen, customers, co-workers, and managers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in providing excellence in customer service and representing Thompson Machinery and Heavy Rents Department in all stores.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive or proprietary corporate information.
  • Demonstrate ability to function efficiently in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
