Shift Differentials

  • $1.75/hr Night Differential, earned on eligible night hours, stacks on base rate.

  • $1.50/hr Weekend Differential, earned on eligible weekend hours, stacks on base rate.

How you support the community.

  • Perform major and minor repairs on gasoline and diesel engines, ensuring all vehicles meet performance and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with ambulances and related fleet vehicles, applying your working knowledge of emergency vehicle systems.
  • Support preventive maintenance efforts, partnering with the Fleet Manager to evaluate and improve the maintenance program.
  • Help coordinate repair and maintenance priorities, assisting with scheduling to keep the fleet operating efficiently.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, maintaining proficiency in the use of engine analyzers and other tools.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to lower-level mechanics and vehicle service technicians in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Stay current with industry trends, attending staff meetings, trainings, workshops, and reviewing technical publications.
  • Uphold Presbyterian Healthcare Services standards, ensuring professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/equivalent or GED required; completion of a trade or vocational program in diesel or gasoline engine repair preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in automotive and diesel mechanical repair.
  • Minimum of three industry certifications or five years of verifiable jobrelated experience required.
  • Must provide own tools necessary to service diesel and gasoline engines, including but not limited to diesel 6.0, 6.4, 6.7, and gas V10 engines.
