Overview Myriad Genetic Laboratories (MGL) is seeking a creative and energetic individual to join a team of 10+ Genetic Counselors/Medical Information Liaisons (MILs). This position has the flexibility to be located onsite at our laboratory in Salt Lake City, UT or remote work from home position. Our laboratory Medical Information Liaisons provide a wide range of services for Myriad Genetic Laboratories, including:
This is an excellent position for anyone who would like to build and expand their genetic counseling skills, develop expertise in a wide range of oncology testing, and explore varied roles for genetic counselors. This is a unique position as it provides opportunities for business/corporate involvement as well as direct patient interaction. Continuing education is a priority. Attendance at professional meetings is supported and encouraged, as is participation in professional organizations. Qualifications
Physical Requirements Lifting Requirements - sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III - normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
