Scope of the project:

This project includes changes for EDI healthcare transactions for the Medicaid System of SC. This position will make software coding changes to existing EDI healthcare transactions. Testing of changes will include testing with external healthcare providers and trading partners.

Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the translator Team to make changes, enhancements and recommendations for enhancements using technical and design specifications. Debug, unit test, and integration test coding changes. Support Quality Assurance staff during QA, User Acceptance, and External Testing by making needed coding changes. Work with business staff for requirements for federally mandated changes as well as state and federal mandated changes. Communicate effectively in both written and spoken communication. Work collaboratively with Clemson staff and other contracted staff

Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):

• 5+ years of experience with Actian DataConnect
• 5+ years of experience with Axiom TransSend
• 3+ years of experience with Pervasive Designer data mapping
• 3+ years of experience with Visual Basic
• 5+ years of experience working with the SoSC Medicaid program

Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):

• Experience with Java
• Experience with JavaScript

Required Education: Bachelor's degree and experience in computer system development and modification. In place of a degree, equivalent years of relevant experience.
