Get to know Okta

Okta is The World's Identity Company. We free everyone to safely use any technology, anywhere, on any device or app. Our flexible and neutral products, Okta Platform and Auth0 Platform, provide secure access, authentication, and automation, placing identity at the core of business security and growth.

At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we're looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.

Join our team! We're building a world where Identity belongs to you.

We are looking for an innovative, experienced Director of Paid Media to lead our Global Paid Media team within Okta's fast-paced marketing organization. This isn't a role for someone looking to coast; we need a leader with grit, tenacity, and an inventive spirit to execute complex, full-funnel programs that drive massive pipeline growth for both Auth0 and Okta.

The ideal candidate is a Digital Expert who lives at the intersection of technology and creativity. You are AI-first, process-oriented, and possess the technical depth to navigate a complex B2B ecosystem. As a master of stakeholder management, you are as comfortable deep-diving into performance data with analysts as you are presenting high-level strategy to executive leadership.

What You Will Do:

  • Global Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing global team of paid media leaders, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Full-Funnel Strategy: Design and execute sophisticated, multi-channel paid media roadmaps (Search, Social, Programmatic, ABM) that drive measurable pipeline for the Auth0 and Okta brands.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration: Act as a key partner to Sales, Product, and Finance, effectively communicating the impact of paid media on the broader business objectives.
  • AI & Innovation: Lead the charge in integrating AI-driven tools and methodologies into our media buying, creative optimization, and reporting workflows.
  • Operational Excellence: Build and refine scalable processes and frameworks to ensure global consistency while allowing for regional nuances and agility.
  • Budget & Vendor Management: Oversee a significant global budget, maximizing ROI and leading strategic relationships with external agencies and platforms.
  • Technical Integration: Work closely with Marketing Ops and Analytics to ensure seamless tracking, attribution, and data integrity across the digital ecosystem.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience: 10+ years in Paid Digital Marketing with at least 8+ years of people management experience. Experience managing global, distributed teams is a significant plus.
  • B2B Expertise: A proven track record in the B2B SaaS space, understanding the complexities of long sales cycles and high-intent lead generation.
  • Digital Mastery: Deep technical knowledge of the paid media landscape, including advanced bid management, audience architecture, and attribution modeling.
  • Resourcefulness & Grit: A "builder" mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and push through obstacles to deliver results.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to translate complex digital strategies into compelling narratives for a wide variety of roles across the organization.
  • Analytical Rigor: A data-obsessed approach to decision-making, with experience in Looker, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, and advanced CRM workflows & integrations.
  • Continuous Learner: A natural curiosity for what's next-whether it's the latest AI breakthrough or shifts in privacy regulations-and a passion for applying that knowledge.

Does this sound like you? If you are a driven leader who wants to redefine what paid media looks like in the age of AI, we want to hear from you.
