Join the Ramily! The Office of Parking and Transportation at Winston-Salem State University is seeking an Administrative Support Associate.
The Administrative Support Associate acts as the first point of contact for the Parking and Transportation Office and reports to the Director of Parking and Transportation. This is a public-facing position, providing excellent customer service and critical information to students, employees, and visitors regarding parking services, availability, and pricing. The Office of Parking and Transportation at
WSSU is responsible for Campus Shuttles, parking permits, and enforcing university and government parking rules and regulations.
Responsibilities of the Administrative Support Associate include:
- Respond to customer inquiries in-person, and via email and phone, maintain a professional and calm demeanor, providing excellent customer service and clear information
- Answer questions regarding services, availability, and rates, and provide information about special offers and packages
- Answer questions regarding parking regulations, policies, and enforcement policies
- Provide excellent customer service when handling complaints and explaining violations, listening with empathy and remaining calm in order to de-escalate interactions with upset customers
- Maintain knowledge of current local parking laws and ordinances, vehicle registration laws, and safety standards
- Remain up-to-date on weather conditions and other potential traffic and parking hazards and conditions
- Report incidents, relay information, and communicate important information with other parking personnel using a two-way radio
- Maintain cash handling training and other required training and certifications as necessary
- Process and confirm transportation reservations through phone, email, and online systems
- Assist customers with modifying or canceling existing reservations, and resolve issues with bookings or payments, including complaints and discrepancies
- Process payments and financial transactions related to bookings, citations, and permits
- Coordinate with other departments as necessary to communicate reservation details and ensure smooth service
- Arrange student appeals court and provide information for students' testimony regarding citations
- Maintain accurate records of all daily activities including financial transactions and transportation reservations in 25Live and T2 Systems
- Maintain accurate records and perform data entry of parking tickets issued, citations issued, and payments received
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations and violations
- Ensure accuracy and detail in records of traffic violations, and accurately document vehicle details, location, time, and violation codes.
