As our Sanitation Supervisor at our cultured-products facility in Rockford, IL, you'll guide a committed sanitation team while upholding the highest company, OSHA, and food safety standards. Your expertise will help drive efficient operations, strengthen quality assurance, and foster a culture of coaching and growth-all in partnership with our Quality Assurance Manager. Shift: 2nd Shift: M-F 3:00 pm - 12:00 am Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee all sanitation programs, constantly evaluating the effectiveness and execution of these programs. Develop an auditing and inspection program for equipment that proactively prevents food safety issues.
- Schedule, assign and monitor work, and provide clear direction to the sanitation team to meet the needs of the business. Ensure effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management.
- Direct, motivate, train, and instruct production personnel in cleaning production equipment and the facility. Work directly with production and quality personnel to solve problems related to the sanitation of equipment and product contamination.
- Conduct daily safety, sanitation, and GMP compliance inspections.
- Conduct final review of all documentation related to sanitation. Maintain a CIP manual on each sanitation activity and assess CIP chart accuracy through daily tracking on each circuit. Report compliance with the Master Sanitation Schedule to management of production and quality.
- Must have working knowledge of all CIP systems in the facility and keep track of any changes to the system(s).
- As primary contact for ECOLAB, you will be responsible for maintaining appropriate level and strength of sanitation supplies.
- Manage the master sanitation program; including assigning weekly work orders, manage frequencies, add or make edits as needed.
- Undergraduate degree in food science or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
- 2 to 5 years sanitation or related experience coupled with demonstrated leadership attributes or team leadership experience; supervisor experience preferred.
- Ability to understand technical documents, dilutions, percentages, and basic mathematical formulas for chemical concentrations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with facilities, regulatory agencies, and customers.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment.
