Principle Accountabilities:



  • Provide administrative support for Mill Manager and HR Team.
  • Answer incoming phone calls; greet guests; assist co-workers with requests for information; maintain an organized filing system in soft or hard format as necessary; prepare and distribute departmental reports.
  • Make travel arrangements as necessary including coordinating flight, ground transportation, hotel reservations, tracking reservation changes, and providing accurate figures for expense reporting.
  • Provide support for meetings such as room reservations, meals, and meeting equipment.
  • Assist with on demand tasks, presentations and projects.
  • Assist mailroom with receiving, sorting, and delivering all incoming/outgoing correspondence (mail, FedEx).
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and onsite interviews.
  • Assist with new employees, department staffing changes, and arranging for necessary work items (computer, office space, business cards, supplies.


  • Coordinate established Human Resources-related programs and activities, such as service awards, Mill events, community events, and donations requests.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources (or closely related field) from a four year college or university
  • 2 to 5 years experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Previous work experience as a member of a team and a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing between team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.
  • Previous industrial experience preferred

  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must exercise independent discretion and decision making and take a proactive approach to issues and strategies

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS




  • Starting salary range for position: $50,000-$55,000 DOE.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance.
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.


  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
