Job Description Performs a variety of special procedure imaging functions under the direct supervision of a physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Performs radiographic procedures, Commuted Tomography (CT) and related exams, as required. Job Responsibility 1.Prepares patient for diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures.
Ensures patient is prepped and draped in a sterile fashion.
Explains procedure in easy-to-understand terms to patient.
Positions patient based on type of exam/procedure being performed. Applies shields according to department guidelines.
2.Prepares sterile trays for diagnostic/therapeutic interventional procedures, as required. Adheres to strict sterile techniques and prepares tray instrumentation according to established policies and procedures.
3.Sets up imaging and auxiliary equipment based on type of exam/procedure being performed.
4.Prepares intravenous iodinated contrast injector in accordance with technical and safety standards, as required.
5.Performs imaging exams according to established standards, processes and procedures.
6.Recognizes and promptly reports any changes in patient's condition to physician. Assists in cardiopulmonary emergencies, as directed.
7.Prepares and labels high quality digital images/videos for physician review.
8.Performs radiographic procedures, Commuted Tomography (CT) and related exams, as required.
9.May operate 3D workstations, including import of CT, MRI and ultrasound images.
10.Maintains and imaging equipment. Makes setting adjustments, as needed. Documents preventive maintenance, service reports, and repair status.
11.Performs related duties, as required. Job Qualification Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, required.
New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration in Computed Tomography R.T. (CT)(ARRT) required, within eighteen (18) months of entry date into position.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, required.
Minimum of two (2) years related imaging experience, required. Experience performing special procedure imaging functions, preferred.
Communication and customer service skills, required. Injection Administration on the DOH license, preferred. CT Experience, preferred. Shift Details: Monday-Friday 7:30a-4p and every other Saturday (potentially every 3rd Saturday) from 7:30a-4p. *Additional Salary Detail
