Overview The primary purpose of this role is to drive adoption of enterprise-wide Data Governance procedures by partnering closely with Business Data Stewards across the organization. This role functions as a central hub, connecting to multiple business units to ensure alignment, standardization, and quality of enterprise data assets. Responsibilities include building a normalized Enterprise Business Glossary, establishing a common business data taxonomy, guiding data stewards in developing data quality monitoring initiatives, coordinating resolution of enterprise data quality issues, and managing the organization's critical data asset and element repository aligned with industry-standard financial data models. Key Responsibilities * Drive adoption of Data Governance procedures across business units. * Partner with Business Data Stewards to ensure alignment with governance standards. * Build and maintain a normalized Enterprise Business Glossary. * Develop and maintain enterprise-level business data taxonomy. * Guide stewards in establishing data quality monitoring projects. * Track and coordinate remediation of enterprise-level data quality issues. * Manage the repository of critical data assets and elements. * Collaborate with Data Platform and Engineering teams to mature Data Governance tools and capabilities. * Develop and maintain governance processes, standards, and best practices. * Work closely with internal stakeholders to support a successful governance program. Required Skills * Data Governance * Data Management * Data Governance Platforms (Ataccama preferred) * Data Quality * Metadata Management * Data Analysis * Tableau Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Business Management required; Master's preferred. * 12+ years of experience in Data Governance and Data Management. * 5+ years of Data Stewardship experience, preferably within a banking or financial institution. * Experience creating and maintaining governance processes, standards, and best practices. * Proven success collaborating with internal stakeholders to run a governance program. * Strong experience with Data Governance/Management platforms (Ataccama strongly preferred). * Technical understanding that supports effective collaboration with data engineering/platform teams. Experience Level: Expert Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of McLean, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $73.00/hr.
