Learning and Development Lead / Specialist - Hybrid Schedule

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Learning & Development Lead/Specialist to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive learning programs that drive organizational performance and employee growth. This role requires a blend of traditional L&D expertise with modern capabilities in data analytics, AI technologies, and digital learning platforms to create impactful, personalized learning experiences aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Needs Analysis

  • Conduct learning needs assessments and gap analyses to identify organizational skill and knowledge deficiencies
  • Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to align learning solutions with strategic objectives and operational priorities

Program Design & Development

  • Design, create, and curate comprehensive learning programs including instructor-led, e-learning, blended formats, workshops, and on-the-job training
  • Support talent development initiatives such as leadership development, onboarding, and career pathing
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal clients and stakeholders to understand evolving development needs

Learning Delivery & Facilitation

  • Coordinate and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and webinars using multiple modalities to diverse employee audiences
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on identifying and utilizing learning opportunities
  • Manage relationships and coordinate delivery with external training vendors and consultants

Learning Measurement & Evaluation

  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through surveys, assessments, and performance metrics
  • Track and report on learning participation, completion rates, and outcomes to stakeholders for transparency and decision-making
  • Utilize data analytics from learning programs to identify ROI and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Integrate learning data with enterprise systems to demonstrate impact and inform decisions

Technology Capabilities

  • Stay current with industry learning trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in learning design and delivery
  • Administer and optimize learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools to enhance user adoption and accessibility
  • Maintain and update learning content and resources within the LMS to ensure accuracy and accessibility
  • Leverage AI-native learning platforms to dynamically generate content, build skills taxonomies, and enable real-time knowledge development
  • Utilize generative AI tools for content creation, personalized learning experiences, and automated support

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree required; degrees in education, instructional design, human resources, or related fields are helpful but not required.

Knowledge& Experience

  • Three (3) + years of experience in a learning and development role or related field
  • Strong foundation in learning sciences, adult learning theory, and instructional design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and measure learning effectiveness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of E-learning software (Articulate) preferred
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software preferred
  • Experience with learning management systems preferred

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong project management skills and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day details and deliverables with a strong emphasis on quality

Work Environment

  • 40-hour work week - hybrid schedule once trained (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
  • Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
