Under general supervision, the Pre-award Research Administrator provides comprehensive grant proposal and general pre-award support to Principal Investigators in the Department of Psychiatry, including budget development, proposal guidance, and coordination of newly issued awards with the Awards Management team. The role supports the setup and ongoing administration of awards to ensure alignment with proposed work. The incumbent serves as the primary liaison to Psychiatry research centers, coordinating proposal activities for center and training grants, multi-site projects, and complex subcontract arrangements. Provides guidance on diverse research administration areas, including the HIV Neurobehavioral Research Program, the Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research, the Center for Behavioral Genetics of Aging, international collaborations, the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium, multi project grants, and awards with complex regulatory requirements.
