Reports to: Public Facilities Manager


Program: 1005-Village


Department: Public Showers


Location: The Village - 527 Crocker Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013


Setting: 100% Onsite


Schedule: Thursday - Monday, 3pm - 11:30pm


Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt/Non-Management

Job Description Summary:


The PTS Attendant II ensures that public restrooms are clean and functional, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe environment. Maintain demographic and service counts and report inventory needs to leadership.



Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Ensures that showers, toilets, sinks, counters and fixtures are clean and functioning at all times.
  • Maintains a clean area by mopping up excess water, sweeping, wiping counters, removing trash, etc.
  • Adheres to all safety precautions in the assigned area, including maintaining a safe number of users.
  • Reports any guest's suspicious activities, such as illnesses, injuries, unlawful activities.
  • Maintains supplies and requests needed items in a timely manner.
  • Accurately document all program participant services rendered daily by entering them in the database in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in Preparing monthly program reports for PTS services by the 5th of each month.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily service logs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Job Description Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) years of custodial experience required
  • Computer proficient, including familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management, interpersonal, organizational, written, verbal, and follow-through skills
  • Experience with cleaning chemicals required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills needed, including ability to be assertive yet tactful
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel to participate in training as recommended or required
  • Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision



Job Description Work Environment:



  • Must be able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours
  • On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
  • Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and odor
  • May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day
