Responsibilities

At Newport Healthcare, we are dedicated to transforming lives through integrative and holistic mental health treatment. We are currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor to support our San Rafael team, where we deliver treatment at the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care for acute adolescent clients.

Role Overview:

As the Clinical Supervisor, you will work in collaboration with the Director of Outpatient Services to support our clinical team in delivering meaningful therapy that makes a real difference in the lives of our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Staff Management: Interview, hire, and train clinicians and support staff in Newport Healthcare's clinical model, treatment philosophy, and protocols; assign caseloads and supervise clinical staff in delivering therapeutic services to teens and families.
  • Client Care: Maintain a personal caseload as needed to cover absences (capped at 2-3 clients); oversee admissions processes, including screening, assessment, intake, and treatment planning.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with the director to develop and monitor the clinical program schedule for adequate coverage and compliance with payer requirements; facilitate therapy groups, including Parent Support and Multi-Family Process Groups.
  • Crisis Management: Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and management as necessary.
  • Documentation Oversight: Ensure timely completion of assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation, including conducting chart audits and electronic documentation reviews.
  • Supervision & Compliance: Facilitate weekly group supervision and treatment team meetings; supervise external clinical contractors, providing feedback and ensuring compliance with internal standards.
  • Quality Assurance & Community Representation: Participate in QA and UR activities, including peer reviews; represent Newport Academy at community meetings, conferences, and training sessions.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, no weekend or on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required.
  • Independently Licensed in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work is required in the state in which you are applying.
  • Board approved to provide individual and group supervision.
  • Experience in management and/or supervision of clinical team members.
  • Experience in providing individual and/or family therapy for adolescents, young adults, and parents.
  • Willingness to be trained, supervised, and provide services within the framework of Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
  • Training or experience in trauma-informed treatment.

Compensation for this role ranges from $82,497- $125,000 per year depending on education and experience.
