The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

We are looking for you!

  • Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

  • Length: 10 Week Internship Program

  • Relocation: No Relocation will be provided for this position

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Electronics Materials division, focusing on the integration of AI, machine learning, and advanced digital tools. In this role, you will work to streamline complex data flows originating from our laboratory research to accelerate the development of novel materials. By collaborating closely with our team of researchers, you will help design and implement innovative methodologies that leverage AI to optimize data analysis. This is a unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge computational techniques to real-world laboratory challenges and drive efficiency in material science.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI and machine learning tools to analyze laboratory data

  • Support researchers in their research projects to streamline data acquisition and data analysis

  • Identify where AI and machine learning can support the efficiency improvement of our laboratory work and material discovery projects

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree (Junior/Senior) in Computer Science, Data Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding and hands on experience with current AI and machine learning.

  • Strong programming skills in Python (specifically libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn).

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and an understanding of how to handle high-dimensional laboratory datasets.

  • Ability to explain complex digital concepts to team members who may have a more traditional laboratory background.

The candidate must have valid unrestricted employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
