Event Emergency Medical Technician (Event EMT)

PART-TIME PER DIEM Opportunity

Starting at $25.32/hr

Location:The Gorge(754 Silica Road NW, George, WA 98848)

We'rehiring Event Emergency Medical Technicians (Event EMTs)that will respond to emergent and non-emergent requests for medicalassistanceand various other public safety concerns.Event EMTsare expectedto deliver high-quality patient care and customer service to event guests,venueand event staffin the most expedient, professional, safe,caringand cost-effective manner possible within the prescribed scope of practice,establishedprotocols and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuresall eventmedical operations and activities are aligned withCrowdRxgoals, strategic plans, andcontractual obligations.

  • Delivers on-site Basic Life Support (BLS) carein accordance withall applicable medical guidelines, protocols, scope of practice, and Company policies.

  • Calmly, professionally, and effectivelyrespondsto requests for emergency medicalassistanceand public safety concerns within assigned venues or event areas.

  • Conducts thorough patient assessments, recognizes changes in patientconditionand providesappropriate emergencymedical treatmentoften in high stress environments.

  • Coordinates and arranges emergent and non-emergent patient transport to higher levels of care, communicating effectively with EMScolleaguesand receiving facilities.

  • Utilizes medical equipment and procedures-including stretchers/gurneys, airway equipment, IV supplies (as authorized), splints, bandages, medications, and PPE-to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, within theirappropriate scopeof practice.

  • Communicates clearly, compassionately, and professionally with patients, family members, bystanders, venue staff,CrowdRxleadership, dispatch personnel, public safety officials, and other responding agencies.

  • Communicates public health and safety concerns to venue staff and internal management asappropriate.

  • Uses andoperatescommunications systems, medical equipment, cleaning equipment, office equipment, and other tools necessary to perform assigned duties.

  • Listens to and follows direction from Dispatchand providestimelyupdatesregardingpatient status, scene conditions, and response outcomes via radio or telephone.

  • Completes, generates, andsubmitsall required patient care reports, response documentation,andstatistical data accurately andin accordance withCompany policy.

  • Maintains familiarity with and adheres to evolving medical treatment protocols, quality assurance standards, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all Company policies.

  • Maintains all required state certifications, licenses, and credentials necessary to perform EMT duties andremainscurrent on continuing education requirements.

  • Attends and completes all mandatory training sessions, in-service programs, andassignedCompany training within requiredtimeframes.

  • Operates Company vehiclesin accordance withRisk & Safety policies and applicable traffic laws, including those governing emergency response vehicles.

  • Maintains a driving record that meets Company Risk & Safety policy requirements.

  • Demonstrates the ability toquickly and safely locate addresses andvenue locationsusing knowledge ofvenuelayouts andvarioussystems, with or without electronic navigation tools.

  • Performs beginning-of-shiftvehicle, equipment, and supply checks to ensure mechanical readiness and operational availability.

  • Immediately reports vehicle, equipment, or supply deficiencies, safety concerns, or unusual incidents to the Supervisor.

  • Notifies Fleet Maintenance and/or Supervisor of any mechanical failures or equipment malfunctions.

  • Monitors andmaintainsfirst aid rooms, medical stations, vehicles, and medical gear, ensuring all supplies are stocked, in-date, properly tagged, clean, and in good working order.

  • Ensures vehicles and equipment are cleaned,restocked, fueled, and secured at the conclusion of each shift.

  • Properlymaintainsissued uniforms and response gear and consistentlyutilizesrequired personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Followsall policies, procedures, assigned report times, and deployment instructions.

  • Fosters andmaintainscooperative, respectful, and professional working relationships with coworkers,supervisors, venue staff, public safety personnel, and external partners.

  • Conducts self in a professional manner andadheres to the Company's Standards of Conduct at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GEDrequired.
  • WashingtonStateEMT credentialrequired(or ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • 1+years experienceas an EMS provider preferred.
  • 911 Experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a PAT (Physical Agility Test)
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • A working understanding special event operations and customer service
  • Strong listening and comprehension abilities, adaptability to quickly evolving situations, and strongdecision makingability.
