Summary

Position is responsible for various functions related to the processing of Wire transactions including incoming, outgoing for both domestic and USD international wire transactions through the Federal Reserve Bank. Processing responsibilities include, create and/or verify, exception queues, OFAC and fraud monitoring processes through Fundtech's Payplus Connect system

This position will assist with centralized faxed wires and department fraud review processes. Position will have direct contact with internal and external customers. Qualified candidate must be a team player, flexible and possess excellent customer service and data entry/computer skills. Willing to train candidate who meet these qualifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  1. Must be at work and on time each day they are scheduled to work.
  2. Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  3. Process incoming and outgoing domestic and USD international wire transfers through applicable bank systems daily in accordance with all wire transfer deadlines.
  4. Monitor and process incoming and outgoing wires from exception queues through to completion.
  5. Perform customer call back for potential fraudulent activity identified through monitoring processes established by the Bank or per customer request.
  6. Reconcile all wire activity processed through Fundtech Payplus Connect to the Federal Reserve Bank and correspondent general ledger account on a daily basis.
  7. Process service messages, drawdowns, returns and request for reversal transactions.
  8. Research and resolve inquires and exceptions as requested.
  9. Create advice notifications upon customer request.
  10. Update and maintain accurate reporting of department information.
  11. Provide support and address customer and associate inquiries/issues related to wire transfers.
  12. Provide education to center/department associates on wire transfer systems and procedures as needed.
  13. Provide documentation for certifications and reporting.
  14. Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Wire Processor II - Grade 8

This is an intermediate position. The associate must have a strong working knowledge in most Wire Department processes. Will back up other positions and perform other duties as required.

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in wire processing and/or other related areas of bank operations.

Intermediate Wire and Wire Fraud Prevention training is required.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Navigator, Director Database software; Accuity Thompson's Global Banking Resource TGBR Internet software and Microsoft Suite, Paypluc Connect, Fedline Advantage Spreadsheet software.

Salary Range:$20.00 To $23.00 Hourly
