This position provides various advanced analytics services to Internal Audit (IA) in both the execution of audit engagements and innovation to help IA define and realize the future. Builds, deploys, trains and maintains anomalies models. Analyzes business results, external market dynamics and other data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110.

You will report to a Director, Internal Audit Professional Practices and Quality.

Position Compensation Range:

$113,000.00 - $194,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Manipulates and investigates large and complex datasets, formulates data requirements and model specifications needed for development.
  • Explores data using a variety of advanced statistical (e.g., data mining) techniques to deliver audit objectives and continuous monitoring for risk sensing, and identify potential incidents of internal fraud.
  • Combines business acumen with mathematical capabilities to build complex predictive models to support IA objectives and processes.
  • Serves as statistical expert in consultation to IA, to support design and analysis of business experiments.
  • Builds complex programs for running statistical tests on data and for understanding correlation of various attribute.
  • Creates business application and modeling framework for new datasets and discovers insights and relationships from large and complex datasets through investigative research using advanced mathematical and/or statistical techniques.
  • Builds the hypothesis, identifies research data attributes and determines best approach to address audit objectives.
  • Networks, researches and maintains awareness of industry best practices and business strategies, proactively bringing in new and innovative ideas and approaches to develop business solutions.
  • May be requested to complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience formulating, approaching, and solving problems in massive, complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience consulting and working with leadership on complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating business implications of complex data relationships and results of statistical models to multiple business partners.
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with business clients and partnering with business stakeholders to create solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience extracting, cleansing, combining and manipulating large, and diverse data sources for analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading large complex projects related to analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting large language models.
  • Demonstrated strong experience with statistical and modeling software tools.
  • Python, GCP and Power Bi experience are preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10%.
