The Systems Engineer will lead a team of systems engineers to design, develop, and maintain complex systems that meet business and customer requirements. This role ensures technical excellence, fosters collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to include subcontractors, and drives continuous improvement in the system design and integration processes.

The Systems Engineer Manager will serve as a technical navigator and integrator, fostering transparency, shared understanding, and cross-functional cohesion through strong communication skills and system-level thinking.

Our client is developing a large-scale nuclear facility and is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to support on-site construction activities. This role will work closely with engineering, construction, and quality teams to ensure field execution aligns with approved designs, schedules, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day field construction activities and serve as a technical resource on site.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work packages to support construction execution.
  • Coordinate with construction supervisors, subcontractors, and engineering teams to resolve field issues.
  • Assist with constructability reviews, field changes, and requests for information.
  • Verify work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support field inspections, walkdowns, and documentation of completed work.
  • Track construction progress and assist with schedule updates and reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience supporting construction activities on large-scale industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a field-based engineering or construction support role.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, and engineering organizations.
  • Familiarity with construction quality requirements, safety standards, and work control processes.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic construction environment.
  • Willingness and ability to meet site access, background, and training requirements.
  • Must be U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • Onsite position in Oak Ridge, TN.
  • Schedule is full-time, Monday - Friday 40-hour work week.
