Primary Duties
1. Leads quality assurance activities on multiple projects to meet business and customer needs using QA strategies, processes, and methodologies.
2. Participates as project team member from design to deployment and develops QA documentation including test plans, cases and scripts.
3. Leads activities related to process assessment, implementation, improvement and redesign.
4. Manages contract QA resources on project activities as necessary. Coordinates and prioritizes contract QA and Test Team assignments.
5. Plans and executes various types of manual and automated testing, including: functional, integration, system, regression, and implementation.
6. Maintain repositories for QA related activities including test plans, test cases, defects, metrics, test procedures, etc.
7. Monitors and evaluates processes and procedures, recommends and implements changes as necessary.
8. Assists user acceptance groups with documentation including, test plans, test cases, results documentation, and evaluation.
9. Maintains test environment with current software under test; Configures hardware for specific testing scenarios.
10. Assists with estimating and establishing QA costs, timelines, and resource requirements on assigned projects.
11. Responsible for risk assessment and communication as well as determining the appropriate level of testing based upon identified risks and business expectations.
12. Communicates the status of QA projects and activities to leadership as necessary.
13. Administers IT Change Management Process; enforces SOX and General Controls, providing leadership to IT and Business Partners.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, business or a closely related field and four years progressively responsible related experience in Quality Assurance, including some supervisor experience; or
A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and six years progressively responsible related experience in Quality Assurance, including some supervisor experience; or
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.
NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires a very high level of computer skills in order to use various technologies in the PC, LAN and office equipment areas of the business with an excellent understanding of programming languages.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in an office environment.
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
