Position Title: Furnace Operator
Wage: $18/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3pm-11pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Furnace Operator for a company in Elkhorn, WI. This is an associate to hire role. Furnace Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Place empty metal parts crate onto furnace conveyor belt - Place and stack all customer parts from bulk containers into metal crates located on conveyor belt - Once metal crate is filled, push it forward and place and empty crate to repeat loading process over - Once loads are filled, push metal crates forward into furnace machine for heat treatment process - After furnace cycle is completed, employees will use a long pole hook to pull parts crate out the back end of furnace for material handler to stage in cooling area - Check furnace to ensure temperature, flows, times and carbon settings are all correct in accordance to work order specifications - Sandblast raw parts based on customer requests before or after heat treating process - Inspect quality of pieces to ensure accuracy according to work order instructions and fill out paperwork once completed - Help train other employees as requested by supervisor - Gain knowledge of all materials and their capabilities during heat treatment process Furnace Operator Requirements: - Stand during entire shift - Able to bend, twist, reach, push, and pull constantly during entire shift - Lift up to 50 pounds and push full baskets of metal parts on conveyors that can weight up to 100 pounds QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
