Manufacturing Technician - Cardiovascular Medical Devices

First Shift : 4:00 am-2:30pm

Second Shift : 3:00pm - 1:30am

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Technician supports the production of high quality cardiovascular medical devices within a manufacturing cell. This role performs detailed assembly, equipment operation, precision inspection, testing, and documentation in accordance with established procedures. Responsibilities may include electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, casting/coating, and packaging. The technician also cleans tools and equipment per documented procedures and ensures proper disposal of hazardous materials. Work may take place in a controlled cleanroom environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Assemble medical devices and related components following documented procedures
  • Perform work in a cleanroom environment as required
  • Use microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, adhesives, and other specialized tools
  • Complete routine assignments according to standardized procedures with close and ongoing review
  • Perform visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies
  • Test units using computerized test equipment
  • Repair and rework devices or components using microscopes and appropriate tools
  • Package devices and verify accuracy of components and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability and proper completion of travelers and quality documents
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate safety equipment
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Notify supervisors of supply needs or production issues requiring escalation
  • Work with supervisors or managers to support performance goals and production metrics
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures in English at a 6th grade level
  • Basic math skills at a 6th grade level
  • Ability to speak, follow verbal instructions, and communicate effectively in English
  • Understanding of electronic data collection systems and computer software applications
  • Good manual dexterity to handle small components and parts
  • Ability to prioritize work and determine appropriate sequencing
  • Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma required
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or related experience


Education

  • High school diploma required


Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly environments (user review recommended)
