Spire is seeking a Payroll Specialist to work in downtown St Louis (MO) to join a strong payroll team with a great work environment. This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll; producing and maintaining payroll and payroll-related records for Spire Union and Non-Union Employees. The Payroll Specialist collaborates closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain data integrity, support audits, and ensure seamless payroll experience. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations are essential for success in this position. Duties and Responsibilities
* Timely process multi-state biweekly union and non-union payrolls, this includes ensuring accuracy of hours worked and exception time entered Essential Characteristics
* Ability to demonstrate the core and job category competencies: customer-focused, results-driven, teamwork, communications, adaptability, initiative, problem solving and quality Supervisory Responsibilities
