Our client is developing a large-scale nuclear facility and is seeking a Safety Tech - Construction to support on-site safety and health activities. This role will assist in implementing safety programs, monitoring field activities, and helping ensure compliance with site safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day construction safety activities on site.
  • Monitor field work to ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with job hazard analyses, pre-task planning, and safety briefings.
  • Conduct safety observations, inspections, and field walkdowns.
  • Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and work with construction teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Support incident reporting, investigations, and documentation.
  • Assist with safety training, orientations, and onboarding activities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant construction safety experience, preferably on large-scale industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting construction safety programs in a field-based environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, field observations, and hazard analyses.
  • Ability to identify safety risks and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with construction and safety teams.
  • Willingness and ability to meet site access, background, and training requirements.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen.
    • Successful drug screening.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • This position is in Oak Ridge, TN.
  • Schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday, 40-hour week.
