Mott MacDonald seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced Sr. Project Manager with at least 8 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects to join our Denver, Colorado office. In this role, you will build and lead a team of seller - doers, participate in local business development strategies, lead the technical development of proposals, and serve as the Sr. Project Manager on infrastructure projects and.

The position offers excellent potential for professional growth and the opportunity to collaborate not only with water market personnel, but with our many practices including dams, geotechnical, energy, tunnels, and transportation. The qualified candidate must have strong leadership and program management experience and direct business development experience during their career, with the ability to generate project leads, build client relationships, and win work.

Responsibilities are as follows:




  • Serve as project manager on large and complex projects with multi-discipline project teams
  • Serve as Line Manager to recruit, develop, supervise, and retain junior staff
  • Serve as project principal, supervising less experienced project managers on smaller less complex projects
  • Supervise and direct preparation of planning studies, evaluations, and feasibility studies for water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects
  • Supervise and direct preparation of plans and specifications for new facilities and rehabilitation of existing facilities
  • Supervise and direct construction engineering support services.
  • Lead the technical development of proposals
  • Serve as account leader responsible for creating and growing relationships with one or more clients



We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or similar)
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Colorado
  • 8+ years total experience in planning, design, and construction management of water, and wastewater infrastructure projects for major utility client
  • Strong technical skills and technical leadership experience, preferably including water or wastewater treatment plants
  • 5+ years experience in managing multi-discipline project teams
  • 5+ years experience in managing proposals for engineering projects
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment managing and growing client relationships.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.

The expected salary for this position is $140,000- $171,000
