A Research Associate II opportunity is immediately available for a highly motivated individual in the laboratory of Ling Li, Ph.D., in the Department of Hematological Malignancies Translational Science, Department of Pediatrics, and Gehr Family Center for Leukemia Research.

You will directly work on the following projects:

The Li group conducts the most forefront science and is highly productive with publications in high-impact journals in the past five years, Nature Cancer (2024, 2026-in-press), Blood (2022, 2019, 2019), Blood Cancer Journal (2022), Cell Stem Cell (2018). The Li research program is supported by multiple NIH (R01s), American Cancer Society, The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and several other prestigious private awards.

As a successful candidate you will:

* Conduct the research project independently in one of listed research areas.

* Write the research papers, protocols and organize data for grant application.

* Excellent communication skills, as the basis of internal or external collaboration.

* Overseeing daily lab operations, including inventory, equipment maintenance, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance, and administrative skills to support research goals.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

* Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.

* Two years related research/ laboratory experience with a Bachelor's degree or one-year related research/ laboratory experience with a Master's degree.

* Animal (Mouse) Care & Handling:Performing husbandry, monitoring health and genotyping. Proficiency in mouse handling, restraint, and dosing (IP, PO, SC, IV).

* Cell Culture Skills: Expertise in aseptic techniques, handling mammalian cells (e.g., CHO, T cells), cell passaging, and cryopreservation.

* Ability to work independently, maintain meticulous records, and follow strict safety/laboratory protocols.

* Strong team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred qualifications:

* M.S. with a background and profound knowledge in the field of either molecular biology, immunology, experience in sequencing, or protein structural data analysis.

* Literature knowledge of one of the research areas mentioned above.

* Experience with tumor inoculation, blood collection, and tissue harvesting/necropsy is highly valued.

* Experience in induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) establishment, from the sourcing of somatic cells to the final characterization and banking of high-quality, pluripotent lines.
